My name is Robin Scott and I have lived in Jefferson County since 1998.  In 2008, I attended the Experience Jefferson County (EJC) program.  Earlier in 2008, a newspaper article caught my attention about David Kennedy, an Ohio transplant who “experienced Jefferson County” up close when he attended the program.  You see I am also originally from Ohio. . .

Valle Mining Company Superintendent and Lost History Museum Founder / Curator Steve Frazier cited the Lost History Museum as one of the favorite stops for Pioneer Days patrons.  There, the walls and ceilings in all four rooms are clad with peeling wallpaper.  It is pretty run down, but what do you expect from an old building? This place is definitely worth a visit for history buffs. Of course some of the visitors find their way. . .

Road paving workers on I-55 at route M jumped to the rescue on July 22 when a vehicle ignited after crashing into a parked construction truck in the closed lanes of the highway.  A 28-year-old DeSoto woman and the one-year-old in her car were travelling north on the Interstate around 11:00 pm. . .
