Born June 28, 1916, in Waverly, IL, to the late James E. & Zora B. (Roach) Short. He is preceded in death by wives: Arlene (Woodrome) Short & Dorothy (Klinite) Short. He is survived by: Harry (Jayne) Short, Jr of Indiana, Jerry (Wanda) Short of Hematite, MO; daughters: Carol (Roy) Dorsick of Hawk Point, MO, Linda (Norville) Priest of Park Hills, MO, Karen (John) Callahan of Catawissa, MO and Norma (Matthew) Link of Ste Genevieve, MO; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents & wives he is preceded in death by a son, Michael Short; 2 brothers; and 1 sister. He enjoyed bowling, latchhook and playing the organ.
