Memorials/Donations Obituary John Eugene Statzel, 73, of St. Louis, passed away on February 19, 2010 at his home. He was born March 4, 1936 in St. Louis; the son of the late Andrew John and Anna (Heaton) Statzel. John was retired member of Graphic Communications International Union; a printer for Buxton-Skinner. He served in the United States Army. He enjoyed playing golf. Mr. Statzel was the father of Paul Statzel, St. Louis and David Statzel, Denver, Colorado; grandfather of Maren; brother of RosemaryBaumstark of St. Louis. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Andy, David, and Robert Statzel and three sisters: Ruby Canepa, Mable and Betty.
