Memorials/Donations JRMC Hospice, Box 350, Crystal City, MO 63028 Obituary Barney M. Jackson, 85, of Festus, entered into rest Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Crystal City. MO. He retired June 30, 1990 as transportation supervisor for Dunklin R-5 School District. Born July 3, 1925, in West Alton, MO, he was the son of the late Jasper Monroe and Minnie Mae (Hill) Jackson. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Virginia O. (Barrigar) Jackson; stepsons: Thomas Weldon, Jr of Mt Clemens, MI and David (Barbara) Weldon of Chesterfield, MI; sister, Marie Vandergraph of Alto Pass, IL; and several nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Mr Jackson was a U.S. Army veteran, from 1943-1946, and had served in WWII & then joined the U.S. Air Force, from 1951-1968, and served in Vietnam, a member of VFW Post 3777 and a member of New Hope Lutheran Church in Festus. Rev John Tape will officiate service.
