Memorials/Donations Obituary William E. Renz, 92, Valles Mines, entered into rest Tuesday, June 8, 2010. He was born August 7, 1917, in St Louis, to the late Walter J. and Mabel (Danford) Renz. He had been employed in automotive engineering and management at General Motors Co for 35 years and had worked in numerous locations in the U.S., Luton, England and Tehran, Iran. He had been retired for 40 years. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy (Heikes) Renz; brothers: Walter, Bert, Richard and Robert Renz; and great grandson, Joshua Poettker. Survived by by sons: William E. Renz, Jr of Newburyport, MA and Vincent D. Renz of Lansing, MI; daughters: Sherry Ramstrom of Grafton, MA, Nancy Hataway of Newburgh, IN and Linda (Michael) Burke of Quincy, MI; sister, Phyllis Norcross of Urbana, OH; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. Special thanks to Sam Cheshire and Rhonda Rinker, of Valles Mines, for their friendship. He was a longtime S.A.E. member, charter member of the Family Motorcoach Association and was a licensed pilot. Pastor Gene Moses will officiate service.
