Born June 19, 1935 in St. Louis; he was the son of the late Oswin Eric and Florence Mary (nee Holmes) Stopp. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Martha (nee Sanders) Stopp of DeSoto. Carl was senior programmer for Boatmens National Bank. He was a member of the DeSoto Elks Lodge #689 and DeSoto AmVets Post #48. Mr. Stopp was the dear father of Troy D. (Kimberly) Stopp of Hillsboro, Carl "Eric" (Amy) Stopp of DeSoto and Taren J. (John) Mathews-Wilson also of Hillsboro; he was the dear grandfather of Stephanie, Christopher, Emily and Nicholas. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Elayne Stopp. Officiating the funeral ceremony will be Rev. Gene Moses.
