He was a retired mechanical engineer at Sverdrup and Parcel and a World War II veteran who served in the United States Army. He played guitar for over 50 years. Born December 8, 1924, in St Louis to the late Harry A. and Charlotte (Istock) Dotson. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Joyce (Cantrell) Dotson of St Louis, son: Robert (Julie) Dotson of Colorado, daughters: Katheryn (Robert) of Texas, Julie (Chris) Argint of St Louis and stepdaughter: Joyce Fitzsimmons of St Louis, grandchildren: Tony, Kim, Celia, Christa, Nicholas, Caitlyn, and Erin, great grandchild: Nicholas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Thomas A Dotson and sister: Patricia Benson. Reverend Jim Owens to officiate service.
