Wayne was born on January 21, 1944 in Clayton, Missouri; he was the son of the late, Gordon and Virginia (nee Hayes) Colter. He was preceded in death by his wives: Linda (nee Bates) Colter and Thelma DeGuire Colter. Mr. Colter is survived by sons: Chris Colter of Festus, David DeGuire of DeSoto and Matthew Short of DeSoto; daughters: Julie Colter, Diana (Larry) Bridges, Evelyn DeGuire-Roth, and Anita DeGuire all of DeSoto and Charlotte (Raymond) Short of Annapolis, Missouri; eight grandchildren: Ashley DeGuire, Crystal and Robert Greenlee, Ashley Scheck, Allen, Larry, Jason, and Sherry Bridges; eleven great-grandchildren; and one brother, James Colter of St. Louis. Bro. Wayne Leftridge will be officiating the funeral service.
