(Edna) Elaine Ludvigsen, of Festus, died April 19, 2010 at home. She was first a mother and a Christian. She was a talented and creative artist and specialist in freelance advertising for years with several St. Louis and Jefferson County publications. Born April 18, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Byron and Marie (Meyers) Cope.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Lindsey and Brenda (Glenn) Fischer, both of Festus: five grandchildren, Lauren (Fischer) Powers, Eric Lindsey, Heather Fischer, Shelly (Lindsey) Staloch and Jennifer (Fischer) Larkin: ten great grandchildren, Colten Lindsey, Nathanael Byron Fischer, Chase Lindsey, Samantha Staloch, Brett Staloch, Alexis Hayes, Glenn Powers, Riley Roland, Blake Powers and Delevan Larkin; and one sister, Monica (Cope) Lewis and family of Otter Lake, Michigan.

At the request of Mrs. Ludvigsen, a private memorial service will be held for the immediate family. Due to her love of Catholic education, any memorials may be sent to Our Lady Guardian Angels Fund, 1550 St. Mary Lane, Festus, MO 63028.
