Eldon L. Gamel, 88, formerly of DeSoto passed away on March 1, 2010 at Parkland Hospital, Bonne Terre, MO. He had been in St. Joe Manor, Bonne Terre for a few months. He was born May 10, 1921 in Jamestown, Arkansas; the son of the late Lee and Letta (nee Donoho) Gamel. His wife, Anna "Alma" Gamel preceded him in death.

Wanda D. Patek, 74, of Crystal City, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at her residence. She was a retired title researcher for First American Title Company, was a crafter and performed as a musician with bands: Al and His Pals, Country Aces and the Cedar Hill Gang.

Wendell P. Humphres, 69, of Valles Mines, passed away on February 27, 2010 at his home. Born October 9, 1940 in Vina, Alabama; the son of the late Cleve and Nettie (Hamn) Humphres. He is survived by his loving wife, Jetta (Harris) Humphres.

Harry H. Short, Sr, 93, entered into rest Thurs, Feb 25, 2010 at Presbyterian Manor, Farmington, MO. He was a retired truck driver for Bemac Co. Born June 28, 1916, in Waverly, IL, to the late James E. & Zora B. (Roach) Short. He is preceded in death by wives: Arlene (Woodrome) Short & Dorothy (Klinite) Short.

Harold A. McCord, Jr., 64, of DeSoto passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Crystal City. Born February 12, 1946 in Chicago Heights, Illinois; he was the son of the late Harold A. and Helen (Powers) McCord,Sr. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Ruby M. (Dunn) McCord of DeSoto.
 

Bessie Fean Godair, 84, of Crystal City, MO entered into rest Wed, Feb 24, 2010 at Crystal Oaks Nursing Center. She had retired as an aernautical chart specialist at the Mapping Agency, St Louis, MO. Born June 4, 1925, in Wardell, MO, to the late Clarence Godair & Winnie (Grey) Renfro.

Karrol G. Wisdom, 76, of DeSoto, entered into rest on Saturday, February 20 at his residence. He was a retired roofer in the construction business and a veteran of the United States Navy who served his country in the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and was a trapper in his young age.

John Eugene Statzel, 73, of St. Louis, passed away on February 19, 2010 at his home. He was born March 4, 1936 in St. Louis; the son of the late Andrew John and Anna (Heaton) Statzel.
