The American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter is celebrating National CPR and AED Awareness Week, June 1—7, 2010, by offering a 10-percent discount for people who register online for CPR classes with an AED component. Local companies, schools, municipalities and other community organizations are encouraged to contact the Red Cross about starting an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) program in order to be prepared for the unexpected.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of modern-day CPR – the combination of breaths and compressions. . .

The number one most sucessful healthy choice is when we can make a healthy alternative in to a habit.

Working out for only 3 months and then leaving is certainly better than never.  Cutting back on fast food is better than not.  Drinking water rather than soda is a great start. All things healthy work best over the long term.

When you can take a habit of drinking soda four times a day and change your habit to drinking five glasses of water a day you will enjoy long term benifits not just cost savings.
