Area growers are welcomed to attend a workshop for those interested in selling at the new Crystal City Farmer’s Market will be Monday evening, April 5th, at 6:30 pm at Grace Presbyterian Church, 105 Bailey Road in Crystal City. 
     The new Crystal City Farmer’s Market will open on Wednesday, May 19th and will be in operation every Wednesday through October 20th at Grace Church. The market will run from 4:00 pm until 8 pm each Wednesday. Vendors must grow or produce their own products and live within 50 miles of Crystal City. The cost to sell at the market is $10 per week with discount for regular vendors.
     The grower’s workshop on April 5th will include an explanation of the rules by Market Master Benjamin DeClue. A representative of the Jefferson County Health Department will also be present to advise growers on rules and restrictions under the Jefferson County Food Ordinance.
