This weekend, murders play out at the Dunklin R-V Theatre in Herculaneum High School's student production of John Bishop's "The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940."
The murder mystery takes place in Chappaqua, New York in December 1940 at the home of Elsa Von Grossenknueten. At her luxurious home, Elsa is busy playing hostess to a select group of people associated with musicals in a last effort to discover who murdered her beloved friend Bebe McCallister. There is a slight problem though, people keep getting murdered left and right!
The cast includes Taylor Rundel and Krystia Byrnes as Elsa von Grossenkneuten, Nick Cook as Michael Kelly, Ryan Partney as Patrick O'Reilly, Mike Casey as Ken de la Maize, Kaitlin Riffe as Nikki Crandall, Dillan Watson as Eddie McCuen, Jennifer Dobbs as Majorie Baverstock, Dan Christopher as Roger Hopwell, and Taylor Massey as Bernice Roth.
Will Elsa ever find the true killer or will she lose her life trying to solve this crime? Find out by attending at 7:00 pm on Friday November 19 or Saturday November 20. For reservations contact Joni Watkins by phone at (636) 479-5200 ext. 3146 or by email, jwatkins@dunklin.k12.mo.us. Tickets are $5 for general admission and $3 for seniors and K-12 students.
