Zion UMC to celebrate Homecoming Sunday

Zion United Methodist Church in Mapaville will celebrate its annual Homecoming Nov. 7. The church, founded in 1868, invites the public and former church members to take part in its “Come As You Are” festivities.
The church service, featuring gospel music by the How Family, will begin at 9 a.m. Gospel music entertainment, a catered meal and quilt raffle will follow the service. The Rev. Kalaba Chali, who was recently appointed pastor at Zion UMC, will lead the celebration. Chali formerly served as associate pastor at Lovers Lane Methodist Church, one of the largest United Methodist churches in Dallas. A native of Zambia, Africa, Chali received a master’s degree in 2007 from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
Zion UMC is located at 100 Beckett St., one block north of the intersection of Highways A and Z. For information, call 314-599-3020.

Pastor Flo is an amazing man, friend, and most of all servant of the word. he would not be comfortable hearing this but it is true. i thank God daily for placing pastor Flo into our lives. pastor has been there for us in good times and bad with his knowledge, compassion and ever reminding us that we have been forgiven through Jesus Christ. than you again |
