     I just picked up on the article by Deborah Sleeper on turning hog manure into asphalt, and I would say Ms. Sleeper is well-named.  Perhaps she could wake up long enough to notice the basic idiocy of her story and the people she is writing about. . .

The Tea Party came to Arnold last weekend and attracted a crowd of polite, freedom-loving Americans with a common theme, “We can no longer trust government.”
 
     This so-called “non-partisan” event hosted many Republican speakers but did allow one Democrat and one Constitution Party speaker.  I had hoped to see a more balanced agenda.

Arnold City Park's 68-acre lake set the backdrop for the Jefferson County Tea Party Rally on Saturday.  During gusts of wind, the fountain misted the crowd, a welcome refreshment on a bright, sunny day.  People set up lawn chairs in an orderly semi-circle facing the pavilion while others wandered and chatted, many carrying flags, signs and banners, waiting for organizer Ken Horton to introduce the speakers. . .
